Club Warriors Compete at the Burlington Devilray's Novice Meet

Swimmers from our Novice and Age Group 1 Programs competed on Sunday December 5th at the “Novice Development Swim Meet” hosted by the Burlington Aquatic Devilrays (BAD).

The meet was great for the CW swimmers, probably the hardest thing was the early start time for the parents and swimmers alike.

The meet featured events of 25m, 50m of all four strokes. There was also a ''distance event”, the 100m Freestyle.

Coach Emily...

“The Club Warrior swimmers did a great job this weekend at the BAD meet! We started the meet off right by doing a group warm up on deck; both Novice groups and Age group 1. There were some amazing swims, including Leah Morrison's 25 breaststroke as it was her first time swimming it. Congratulations to all swimmers!”

Coach Caity...

“The Novice groups had a fantastic meet in Burlington this weekend! Our swimmers are definitely getting into a comfortable routine in the busy meet environment. The blocks were the highest any of the coaches had seen, and yet many brave swimmers - led by Nicholas - fearlessly jumped up and had great starts!

Beyond that, our Novice swimmers had an incredibly successful day! Anabel, Kalyn, and Elayna, were just a few of our first heat ribbon winners, while even more had best times!

We even had a swimmer in a unique re-swim, and we were all VERY proud of Lucia for putting up TWO great times in the same race and being very adaptable!

Once again - all of our swimmers left with smiles on their faces, and at least one new skill or PB! That’s what Novice is all about, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to see our young swimmers progressing!”
